How Do You Make .mts Files Work In Toast 11?

Stupid .MTS Files

Question

I swear, had I known that creating video in a .mts file format would have caused me this many headaches with my mac, I'm not sure what I would have done! I'm sure this has been discussed ad nauseum, but can someone please tell me the best way to convert .mts files so they can be used in Toast 11? Do I need to buy a converter? Can I upload them as is? I know iMovie '11 can't do it, so I'm hoping Toast 11 is easier to use. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks -

Hi there,

You can use handbrake (free) to convert your mts files and then use them in toast

You can also use panasonic avccam which is also free. This will allow you to play mts with QT and then save them as QT files

Good luck

Can't you just drag the .mts files into the Toast window? What are you wanting to do with them? I can drag .mts files into Toast and they are recognized.

I was able to add the mts files into Toast but when I tried to burn a HD dvd I get an error code=35 volume could not be found? Any suggestions?
