Problem Recording Game

LeNwAr

Question

I've found updating Java to the latest version lets me record Minecraft while it's running in a web browser, but Roxio just will not detect it when running it as a standalone application. This is OK for vanilla Minecraft, but is useless for shooting videos of mods or anything like that, as you can't mod the browser version.

Don't know if this stuff will help at all, but I'm better off having it here than not:

Tell us what happened:

  • Error code or issue: When running Minecraft via the .exe file as a standalone application, Roxio will not detect it as a recordable source. Whether it's due to Minecraft's video requirements or something to do with Java, I have no idea. It will detect it while running in a web browser though.

  • What kind of project were you working on: N/A
  • What kinds of files were you using and where did you get them? N/A
  • Did you complete your project or did it stop at a certain point in the process? N/A
  • Have you ever successfully completed the task that you are contacting us about? No
  • Did you make any changes to your computer recently? (new applications, updates, etc) If so, what? No. The latest change would have been installing PC Game Capture.

Tell us about your computer

Is there a reason my post was moved without my knowledge or even a reason why?? I thought it was in the right spot before as it was directly related to the thread that I posted it in. I know it was moved because I never created a new topic with this title.
