My VHS-DVD conversion project involves many tapes filled with six hours of music videos (recorded off the TV) that I need to edit - I do not want all of them moved to DVD. Will this Roxio product let me clip out the ones I want as I grab the feed from the tape? Does it allow unlimited cuts like this or must the clipping be done in the editing phase?

Thank you for any help!

Minimum System Requirements:

  • Microsoft® Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows Vista® Home Basic (SP1), Windows® XP (SP3 for 32-bit, SP2 for 64-bit)
  • Processor and RAM, 1.6 GHz processor and 512 MB RAM or more, or the minimum system requirements of the OS, whichever is higher.
  • DirectX 9 compatible graphics card or higher, sound card, DVD-ROM drive
  • 2 GB free hard drive space for installation
  • Windows Media Player 10, 11 or 12
  • DVD Writer for DVD
  • Internet Explorer® 7, 8 or 9
  • One available USB 2.0 port
  • Minimum screen resolution 1024x768

Your PC should run it OK.

No, only in the editing.

Thank you! Do you use the Roxio editing functions or another program? I ask because I have seen users on other sites complain bitterly about lack of functionality. From the info on Roxio's site it looks like it should be able to do most of what the average user would want. My editing experience has been with music only (Roxio's EZ CD Creator, before I got WIN7, and Audacity) and that has gone well for me.

It is basic!

I prefer the full suite Creator 2012 video editor Videowave. I have the Roxio USB Capture Device and use it with Creator 2012 media import to capture VHS Tape, then edit in Videowve.
