Roxio Game Capture Problem! Help!

Question

I'm not sure what happened, but it seemed my old topic for this got deleted somehow! Anyway, onto the point.

Ok, so I have a standard TV and I also have the Xbox 360 HD cables. Everything is fine on my TV, but when it comes to capturing, this happens: http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Artaxia/Other/roxio.png

For whatever reason, the screen is all squished and frozen on one frame, and takes forever to refresh the frame. Help? Also, when I push "Stop Capture" and try to play it to see what it looks like, it says "Unknown Error"

Look closely at your posted pic.

Do you see the words in green ' No Signal'?

What do you think that means?

You had it in the wrong forum, so I assume that is the reason it was closed.

What do you mean by my connections? Do you mean where it says the "TV Standard" thing?

And here's what comes up for me in my device manager: http://www.majhost.c...ice_manager.png

What do you mean by my connections? The Roxio USB Game Capture Device input and output connections correct for your non HD TV?

Open device manager and plugin and unplug the Roxio USB Device what entries pop up when you plug it in?

Yes.

I tried that and even tried plugging it into the other USB slot, but there's only one thing instead of two.

The same things come up as in the screenshot of my device manager.

We have a communication problem!

I need to know what specific things pop up.

Post a screen shot of device manager without the USB device plugged in and I will compare it to the pic you posted with the USB device plugged in.

Do you have much computer experience?

Looks like the same thing you posted above. Change the back ground to something that is not an image of the device manager. Now post images of the device manager when the device is not plugged in and then when it is plugged it.

Right now, we can't see what we want to see. because that background is confusing.

Did you notice that there was a question mark near the entry for sm bus controller. How long have that been that way. You may have to fix that first. Read this.

Lets try and stay on track and not have him case his tale!

Artaxia here is my device manager before I plugin the USB device.

And after I plugin the USB device. Do you get what I'm after now?

We could do this all day long, you don't understand what I'm asking, you need someone with more PC experience to help.

What do you mean then?

Ok, I took before and after screenshots.

The 2nd one is showing as USB Audio Device. CD will be back to tell you what to do.

Thanks Bruce..

With the Roxio USB Device plugged in, right click the two entries the red arrows point at, and click uninstall.

Unplug the USB Device from the PC and reboot the PC.

When the PC is up and running place the installation disc in a drive and run repair when it's offered. When it's finished reboot the PC.

When the PC is up and running open device manager and plugin the Roxio USB Device and tell us what shows for drivers under sound game and video controllers?

Print this off and follow it to the 'T'!
