Program Stops Working

I am using Easy VHS to DVD under Windows 7. The program works except for an annoying problem. Whenever I exit the program and it closes, I get the Windows error message that "The program has stopped working, and do I want to close the program". Which is a silly message as I have already closed the program. Can anyone help me with this? Thank you very much.

That message does not appear in normal operation. This seems to indicate a problem with your install or the incorrect version for W7.

Thank you Digital Guru, but I do have the correct version of Easy VHS to DVD installed on my computer. I am computer literate and I would not have made such a "begginer's" mistake. If it helps, I am using an HP TouchSmart compute,r 64bit running Windows 7, with service pack one. The error is in the Roxio software, as all of my other computer programs work perfectly. As I mentioned in my original post, the VHS to DVD programs works fine, it is only after I exit the program that I get the message that "the program has stopped working".

Don't you think that other users would have reported that message long ago if it was an error in the program?

What happens if you ignore that message? If nothing, ignore it.

OK, here is an update to my original problem about the strange "program has stopped working message". That has disappeared and the Easy VHS to DVD now un-loads properly upon exit with no error message. Keep in mind though that I did a program "repair" first, and after that a complete un-install, then a new install. A big thanks to all of you who offered their advice.
