Digital Files?

denorton

Question

I'm looking at purchasing VHS to DVD 3 Plus. Will this allow me to create digital files that I can then load into editing programs and fully edit? Similar to the files I would have by uploading Mini DV tapes directly into my computer? Or will this only allow me to transfer video to DVD without the digital files I can save and use later to create full movie projects, pull still shots from, add music, split, combine etc? I don't want to just transfer to DVD. I want to have full editing ability and store the DV files in my computer.

Yes, you can capture the VHS video to your hard drive and then edit, etc with a video editor (build into VHS2DVD3). This is actually the method most of us recommend instead of direct capture and burn to DVD.

Have you looked at this?
