Creator Keeps Ejecting Disc

jbjbjbjbjbjb

Question

I am trying to burn a cd data disc with Roxio creator 2012 but it keeps ejecting the disc, stating that:

There was a problem writing to the disk. You can try again by clicking the Retry button. You will need another blank disc ready.

then listing this information:

Sense: 00 ASC: 00 ASCQ: 00 (command 00)

Px.dll:4.30.13.0

PxAFS.DLL: 4.30.13.0

pxdrv.dll: 1.02.61a

PxMas.dll:4.30.13.0

PxSFS.DLL: 4.30.13.0

PxWave.dll: 4.30.13.0

pxwma.dll: 1,0,0,3

with the explanation that:

Recording error

Recording errors can occur when a disc contains dirt, fingerprints, or scratches.

If you are getting recording errors:

Try using a new disc.

Try using a different manufacturer’s disc.

Ensure the disc is clean before recording:

Remove all fingerprints, dirt, and dust from the shiny side of your disc using a nonabrasive cloth with a mild, nonabrasive soap solution.

Wipe the disc from the center to the edge.

Dry the disc completely.

I have used different brands/batches of discs with no success, although they work in Nero with no problems.

Hope someone can help - the program is useless as it is. Have tried repairing and reinstalling with no success. The drive drivers are up to date and the program did actually work when I bought it.

Reboot the PC and shut down all running programs especially antivirus/firewall, put the installation disc in a drive and choose repair when it's offered.

Same problem. Burn Disc command results in instruction to Insert Disc. Creator reads the disc and reports the available space. But then it ejects the disc. This happens repeatedly with new Sony discs that have functioned well in other applications. Other brands as well. (Dell desktop computer running Win XP.) I have reinstalled Creator 2012, as suggested. Tried the Repair option.
