Lots Of Error Warning Messages

Pugliaphotographer

Question

Hi All

I do hope this is the right place to ask this question.

I have been using Roxio for more years than I can remember. I recently had to have a new motherboard and had to re-install all of my programmes.

I cannot open Roxio Creator 10 without a message coming up saying that all my drives are set to disabled and I must enable at least one to open the programme.

First, I am not sure which drives this refers to and second, how do I enable them.

I do use other programmes for various reasons, Nero, being one and this has no problems.

I prefer to use Roxio for slide show productions as it is by far the most flexible programme I have ever tried.

I am desperate to get this sorted ASAP, if anyone can possibly help I would be very grateful.

Thanks

Gerry in Puglia, southern Italy.

First is that Easy Media Creator 10, Creator 2010, or some free version came pre-installed on your PC?

What operating system and what flavor x86 or x64?

Hi

The programme is: 'EASY MEDIA CREATOR 10 SUITE' It was not on the computer I purchased it from Roxio

It is on a PC with Windows XP Pro, 32 bit.

I had been using it up to the mother board change and this the only programme to not work when I have re-installed everything.

I have used one of the uninstall programmes to make sure that it was removed completely and re-installed it, re-booting every time.

It is so frustrating.

Yesterday I downloaded an update from this site, I tried to install it and got a message saying that I did not have EMC10 installed, but when I checked, there it was.

Many thanks for your interest

Gerry

You are in the wrong forum. This is the Roxio Creator 2010 forum, you state you have Easy Roxio Creator 10 - a completely different suite.

You also cannot install the SP for C2010 to EMC 10.

Hi All, especially cdanteek

Thank you very very much, I now do not have to slit my throat out of sheer frustration.

I am a 67 year old technology lover when it is all working, when its not, then I hate it because its all double dutch or outer mongolian martian speak.

So thank you all very much.

As for the other comment about being on the wrong forum, I had no idea that 'Roxio Easy Media Creator 10 suite' was different from 'Roxio Creator 10'.

Is this some sort of 'ONE UPMANSHIP' or is there really another programme?

You're welcome.

Someone got creative with the version numbers Easy Media Creator 9, Easy Media Creator 10, Creator 2009, Creator 2010, Creator 2011. Creator 2012.. ;)

Hi

I do hope that I have chosen the correct forum today for this message

After the helpful advice the other day, I at last managed to get my copy of 'EMC 10 Suite' to open and allow me to prepare a slide show complete with music.

However, when I try to burn it I get lots of warning messages which I have managed to copy via screen capture.

For whatever reason, this problem is only happening with ROXIO, in all other respects my computer and all my programmes are working perfectly.

I have had the programme from new and have used ROXIO products for many years.

Please, please advise me what to do in simple, non gobbledigook laymans language.

Many thanks

Gerry

PS

As suggested I did download this programme update ''(windowsmedia10-kb888656-x86-global-enu(1))'' from the 'Windows' site, but it will not install

Hi

I did have a look at the above link, but got a bit confused as it seemed to go on and on, I have opened and downloaded the latest version of Windows Media Player, that hasn't made any difference, I am now getting a message saying that 'A codec is not installed, MPEG, click OK to install. I click OK and then get another message saying that ROXIO has a problem and has to close.

The programmes that I have reinstalled along with ROXIO are the same ones that I have been using for years and never had any problems before. I can open up three of the other programmes, NERO being one, I can prepare and burn a DVD to show on the TV in 5 minutes.

It's not the way I want it because NERO does not have the infinite flexibility of ROXIO, but needs must and it's either that or cut my throat out of sheer frustration.

WHY IS ROXIO THE ONLY PROGRAMME THAT IS GIVING ME ALL THIS GRIEF..???????????????????????????/

Please, Please try and re-instate my sanity and tell me what to do.

Thanks in advance.

Gerry
