Roxio Game Capture Showing No Signal

I have just recently bought a roxio game capture for my xbox. I also purchased the xbox av cable. I had it all set up and the software installed on laptop (which is running windows vista) but when I went to record it says no signal and has a black screen, however I am able to hear the audio. I have checked all of the other forums but none of the solutions seem to work. I have also checked the device manager and everything seems fine there. I don't know what to as I really wanted to capture some of my gameplay.

Yeah the device manager shows both of them. I am sure that I have set it up correctly as well. I just don't know what the problem could be.

You have the cable from your Xbox set to HD, and the settings in your Xbox are the same, HD.

 

Also, double check your cables are hooked up correctly ........per the link I sent you.

Yeah the cable is set to HD and my settings on the xbox are set to 1080i.

yeah everything is fine on my tv but I just get a black screen on my laptop wjere the preview should be.
