You can upload videos of yourself playing copyrighted games without getting personal permission from the makers of the games, however if you are looking to monetize your YouTube videos (earn money from advertisements being placed on your videos) then you must become a partner with someone like Machinima or Yeousch. If you do not want to monetize your videos, then you are fine uploading them. However, if you do want to monetize them then you will need to become a partner with a gaming company such as Machinima.
