Need To Split Audio Tracks...how Do I Do It?

sandiglam

Question

I do a lot of transfers of old cassette tapes to mp3s. Usually when I do that, I upload the entire audio tape as one file onto my hard drive using EZ tape converter software. With older versions of Roxio, I was able to open up the audio file, split the one track into as many audio tracks as I needed, then burn the cd. On 2012, I can get a place where I can edit down an audio track and do what I want to with it, but I cannot figure out how to split the track into many tracks. Please help, as this is one of the features that has kept me from using another software in the past.

Thanks,

Jordan

You should be able to do that with Sound Editor just like you have for quite a few versions.

Can you give me step by step on that? I go there and I can do almost everything I have ever done before EXCEPT that one feature. The fact that nowhere in the pdf manuals online it addresses that feature concerns me about whether or not this feature is offered. I can find how to do it IF I rip the music to mp3 using Roxio, but if I'm importing a file that was ripped using another program, it won't let me access that screen. Any help is really appreciated!
