Mr.Matt
Hey guys, Got a Roxio VHS to DVD, installed on a Toshiba Corei5 Windows 7 laptop. I get a fluent video signal, but no audio signal (it does not even show in recording devices?). Went online to find software updates, but the links on the site no longer work. I also noticed a commonly asked question, with exactly my problem, however, that link is also not working. Can anyone suggest where I can download the most up to date drivers? Thanks! Jim_Hardin
Do you use a SCART adapter? Please describe your hookup from VCR to the Roxio USB Device? Just so you know, there aren't any updates for the 201B Version nor will any be forthcomming, as it is out of production
Mr.Matt
"Roxio Video Capture USB" is present. "USB 2861 Device" is not. I have switched USB ports to try to force Windows to re-install the drivers for the '2' devices, but it only re-installs "Roxio Video Capture USB". The setup is simply RCA to RCA (at both ends) and it has worked before on a different computer. That computer however has since stopped working, and due to the cost for parts (and my discount at work), I opted to buy the new computer which I am using now. I have other software for using the actual capture device, my issue is the 'virtual' audio recording device is not showing up. Thanks.
cdanteek
I have switched USB ports to try to force Windows to re-install the drivers for the '2' devices That is your problem Windows will always install a generic driver instead of the correct driver from the installation disc! Jim_Hardin
That is your problem Windows will always install a generic driver instead of the correct driver from the installation disc! Yes, most likely the problem... A couple of steps must be taken in order to correct this... Insert the Device and open Device Manager (Win-Pause, Device Manager) Delete/Disable anything connected with the Roxio Video Capture USB device. Remove the Device and place it in another room! (that way there are no mistakes) Reboot and start to install the software. When Repair is offered, select that. Reboot the computer and go to the other room and get the Device. Start the software and insert the device.
