First off that is not the order you do things in.

 

You should install the disc first then after a reboot plug in the USB cable and let the drivers load for the device.

 

From what you say I'm guieesing that nothing ever happened.If that's the case then unplug the device and restart your machine.

Once it restarts then put in the disc and run the installation.

Once it finishes reboot again.

After you restart again then plug in the device.

You should be able to watch as the drivers are assigned and loaded.

 

Once that finishes you should be able to start the software and have it use the device.

After plugging in the Roxio usb cable from the game cap, and being asked to put in the disk, I did so, but the disk was never detected.

Help?

 

I'd bet Windows assigned generic drivers.

 

With the RGC USB Device plugged in do these two drivers show in device manager?

 

You can plugin and unplug the USB device with Device Manager open and see what changes and what drivers show.
