Copy And Convert Video - Goes Non-Responsive

Until recently I have had no problems with the Copy and Convert Video program. However recently whenever I attempt to download any videos from You-Tube, the program stops working and displays an error message stating "Roxio Video Convert has stopped working". The program becomes non-responsive and subsequently closes. Windows is unable to provide a reason for this to occur. This is occurring every time I use Copy and Convert on the internet.

I would not count on getting any solutions from "Windows"... I swear that was put in as a feel good placebo

 

What you will need to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, etc. and insert your disc (download version - run Install)

 

Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows)

 

When you reach the screen where Repair is offered, choose that!

 

When it competes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.

 

That should put it back in order

I am having the same issue, although my "Copy and Convert" application has not worked since I installed Roxi Creator 2012 earlier today. I tried the posted suggestion, also updated all the drivers and firmware, and turned off all the startup apps to no avail. Any suggestions on next steps would be appreciated.

That issue is one of the program becomming unresponsive.

 

Is that the issue you are having? If so, what I posted is the ONLY cure for that.

 

Otherwise, YouTube has changed something recently and the ability for VCC to capture from their site is rare
