How To Finish Text In Videowave - Split From Another Topic

zinck

Question

I am using VideoWave on Windows XP.

My first step was to add audio to my video. Next I added 3 blocks of a color panel. Then I inserted text (my title) in the first panel (using Storyline). The text carries over into the other panels. How do I get the text to fade or disappear? In the next block I want to start using photos and I don't want text any more.

Thank you!

And my other question has to do with once I start putting the photos into the video. Say I have a photo in the number 4 position in Storyline.

Is there a way to drag it to positon 6 or 7? Or do I just have to delete and start over?

Thank you again for the help!

Larry

If you want the text to apply to only one panel then add the text to the internal text tracks.

Just use drag and drop like you would for any Window application.. Select the panel and while holding down the mouse button drag it to the desired panel position and drop it.

I'm still having trouble with the text. I got the first text to end after three color panels. But then I decided I wanted to insert another color panel and say something else. But I ended up with the original text running into the fourth panel. And that puts one text on top of the second text.

I still don't understand how I get the text to stop exactly where I want it to. Can I set it for so many seconds?

I'm trying to first have the name of the song as a title and then in the next panel add a personal message but I'm having trouble.

Also in the very first panel the text does not appear until 3 seconds into the panel. Can I adjust it for the text to appear sooner?

Thanks again!

If text is running over into other panels, you are not putting the text into the internal track of a panel.

Thanks for the video!

I managed to go back and delete some of the panels and put in a new one and then insert the text within the internal track. So that is resolved.

Is the text at the eginning of the text track?

Sorry but I do not know what you mean by "in the beginning of the text track".

I put the text in the internal track of the #1 panel of StoryLine. The text only appears after 3 seconds.

Text that I placed in the #2 panel appears immediately.

Thanks!

When I put it on internal track it does not allow the Show Settings option.

But that's okay. I'll just leave it the way it is with the three seconds of the color panel before the text appears.

Thank you again!
