Question

Does anyone know if it is possible to record my computer screen and turn it into a video file that I can incorporate into an edited piece? I've looked at Jing and a few other screen grabbing software but they can't be turned into avi or mpeg files.

Jing captures swf files (flash). If you don't want to spend $$, go here (link) and download a swf to avi or mpg2 converter. Note: I have not tried any of these since I spent the money for Camtasia Studio. I wanted longer capture times.

You can also look at Tech Smith's SnagIt. It will capture mp4 videos (longer than 5 minutes) but does not have an editor..
