Jim_Hardin
IF the DVD's play OK on your PC... Then it usually indicates that your Player requires LPCM audio when you Author them... (I am also assuming that you are using MyDVD Express ) Try that and let us know.

raedon40
Thanks Much for your replies and the picture but I still can't get any audio! I printed off a Picture you posted and I burnt this DVD+RW Just like the picture is and the Video is Great but, Still No Audio, what can it be? Jim_Hardin
But did you set the Audio Properties to LPCM before burning??? That setting is the KEY to this and you keep posting without making that statement which makes me suspicious I would feel better if you would also confirm that you are using MyDVD Express and not just slapping files onto a DVD and assuming they will work The only other thing that could cause this might be cheap media but frankly I have never heard of that happening. Next best trick is to shut off your Anti Virus and any Firewall you might be running then insert the ECD & DVD Burning disc and pick Repair when it is offered. (I don't hold a lot of hope for that, but who knows )
Brendon
Jim, Will any of that help if the OP's source files contain AC3 audio? Brendon
grandpabruce
Jim, Will any of that help if the OP's source files contain AC3 audio? Brendon I don't have that program, but if the file had AC3 audio, wouldn't the OP have gotten a message saying that since the audio was AC3, it would not be added to the production? Raedon40, Easy CD & DVD Burning is a severely crippled "feature-limited" variety of Easy Media Creator. The ability to handle the very popular AC3 audio has been removed from the program, as has the ability to handle DivX/XviD video. If your video clips use AC3 audio, the audio track will be replaced with silence. You will need to buy an additional copy of the full Roxio software to handle clips with AC3 audio. Windows Media Player is not deliberately crippled, so it will play your clips with good audio. Regards, Brendon

Raedon40, did you get a message saying that the audio would not be added to your production, because it was AC3 audio? The reason that I ask is, in previous stripped down versions of the Roxio software, that message was given when trying to add video with AC3 audio. Jim_Hardin
In Post #3, when readon40 said it plays on his PC, I took that to mean the DVD played, not the files... is this the warning message you get when you add the files?

No, that's a sales practice we've protested about for years. Perhaps the new owners - Corel - will straighten that up when they can get to it?
