I'm trying to put together a video presentation for work, but am having a helluva time starting with the 'overlay'.

 

Suggestions? Help?

Start with telling us what program and application you are using. Roxio has dozens of programs with more than one application.

 

Are you using Video Wave (aka Edit Video -Advanced) or something else?

 

Are you using images or videos or both? What are you trying to overlay over what? What are you having problems with?

Hi, and thank you for getting back to me. I am using Video Wave. I can insert the overlay image I need, into video/image, but not in the overlay track.

 

What's your suggestion?

Videowave is a application not the name of the program your using!

 

Roxio Creator 2012 is a program.

 

Roxio Easy Media Creator 10 is a program.

Roxio 2012 is the program, VideoWave is the section. Does that make more sense?

Roxio 2012 is the program suite, not a program. VideoWave is the program/application, in that suite, that you are using.

 

Please explain, in more detail, what you are actually trying to do.

Let's see if we can move this along

 

Keep in mind that "overlays", lay over, something that is already there... The higher the overlay number, the more it covers up anything before it.

 

I put a color panel on the Video track and add an overlay (Short 1.mp4):

When I play these, I see that the external overlay (Short 1.mp4) covers the internal one (Short 2.mp4)

 

 

 

That probably has nothing to do with your problem, so tell us where we need to go from here
