Capturing Vhs To Computer - File Size

Hi, I just recently installed this and am just getting digital files on my computer. I'm curious why the file size is so large, I recorded less than 14 minutes and the file size was almost 3gb. I have HD video files on my computer that are smaller than that (which are over 2 hours long). Thanks in advance.

You are propably capturing to DVD avi format which is almost uncompressed video and gives large files. A 60 minute video captured to DV avi will give a file around 13 to 14 GB. Those HD files are in a very highly compressed format
