Startup Issues.

Question

Hi, Corey here, first time poster, life long gamer. Anyway, I'm having a little trouble. For Christmas I had a Roxio GameCapture and I used it for a while with no problems whatsoever. At this point I was running Windows Vista. My dad took my computer for a week or two around March/April to update it. Long story short, he updated my system to Windows 7 and because he's a bit of an idiot, my programs were lost. I recently installed the software to support the GameCap and it seems to work fine at first. The Launch pad opens but I can't open the capture window. It let's me open the 'Edit & Share' but when I click the 'Capture' button, it says it's loading for a split second, the icon appears at the taskbar but disappears again. No matter how many times I click on it, nothing happens. It's updated with the latest Service Pack as I thought that may be able to help fix my problem but I still have the same problem.

^That's the 'Capture' button I'm talking about in case there is any confusion.

Thanks for reading this, and if you have any solutions to my problem I'd be very grateful. Cheers.

Well, it was a 32-bit OS on Vista, my dad somehow converted it to a 64-bit OS on Windows 7. I've had trouble installing iTunes, no matter what I try I just can't get it to install.

And as for Edit & Share, everything works fine apart from some video clips on the right hand side where the paths have been messed up so it can't display the video. But as far as I can tell, everything else works fine.

Was that a dirty install on top of the X 32 Vista OS?

If so that may be at the root of all of your problems!
