OK, so I'm running version 201B23A and I can capture video just fine. I set my trim points without issue. But when I hit the export button, and select my export method, the problem arises.
No matter which method of export I select, I am unable to select a file name for the exported file. The browse button does nothing, and I can't type or paste text into the text box. If I try to export without entering a file name, I get an error regarding illegal characters in the file name, which is pretty logical, I suppose.
I'm running Win7 Home Premium 64 bit. The drive containing the videos is formatted NTFS. I've seen other posts referring the user to follow the setup guide and then repair the installation. I have not tried this, as the knowledge base appears to be down at the time I'm writing this, so I am unable to view the guide.
I'm attaching the dxdiag results.
Ultimately, I found a workaround where I set a time limit for the recording and use other software to convert the resulting mpg file, but it's burdonsome to duplicate functionality that is part of the software.
