"waiting On Writer" Computer Will Not Burn To Disc

hello all,

 

I've been a happy Mac owner for a couple of months now. However, after using the same system to create dvd slide presentation with iMovie/Toast 11 with success, this morning I found myself stuck dead with a "waiting on writer" statement that kept throwing perfectly good and new dvd's and cd's back at me...Any clue?

No clue. I suggest completely shutting down the Mac, waiting a short while and then restarting.
