The software is installed and launches but the USB driver doesn't appear in the list of devices for game & video drivers in the control panel tab for such things.
Computer: Toshiba laptop circa 2000 vintage
OS: Windows 5.1 (XP Home Edition) build 2600.xpsp.... service pack 3
Software: Roxio easy VSH to DVD3 plus
The initial problem was in installation in that the software requires an Internet connection for registration, etc. This laptop is the only machine out of two others that is. Connecting either of the other two more recent machines is unfortunately not an option. I'm wondering if the requirement for a USB 2.0 port is my stumbling block here??
Please unerstand I have no desire to short circuit the software security but is there any way to install Roxio on one of the other machines that have the high speed USB port? Otherwise, is it possible to utilize the software using the slower speed port? Transfer time is not an issue for my hobby use.
