D-Terminal Problems & Program Problems

ok so i have bought your roxio yesterday got the ps3 component cables hooked it all up installed program now my problem is 1. changing from hdmi to D-terminal will not find the signal = blackscreen then resets back to hdmi. 2. the program is installed and starts up but once you go to capture or the edit & share sections i get a pop up saying roxio has stopped working these are the problem details:

oh my laptop specs are AMD dula core 2.3 and 2gb of ram and win7 32bit if this helps

Your laptop just barely meets the minimum requirements for this software and that is most likely why you are having problems.

 

BTW, it is not "our" software, we are not Roxio employees but simply users of Roxio software programs.

well u think it would atleast start it and im not really sure my laptop is the problem i think its the program i have read other laptops with same specs working fine and another thing i do meet the requirements so it should atleast load the capture program up and the share edit when hit comes up with ERROR: unable to load skin???

How did you install the program? Antivirus/Firewall disabled and all running programs stopped?

 

Are you connected correctly? Check the pinned post at the top of this forum Roxio's connection instructions are wrong.

I have removed the hdmi and am only using ps3 component cable now and its running fine now and when i did the install i did have my firewall and antivirus running so ill uninstall and reinstall with out it on and ill get back to you soon thx!

ok so yes i have just matched the color inserts with the colors on the plugs no hdmi anymore now i have reinstalled the program with the firewall off and antivirus off and im still getting the same thing!does the roxio gamecap box needed to be plugged into the usb when installing? i know the box isnt faulty because of alot of headaches trying to get this program running i downloaded virtual dub and i could get that running on the roxio so its not the box its something to do with the program and i dont wanna use virtualdub program (crap) i want to use the program it came with

As long as you don't have the USB plugged into the computer.

 

Once you have completed the install, then you plug in the usb and the software will install the correct drivers.

this is driving me crazy i can get to other programs to work with the roxio box but not the program that came with it nero vision and virtual dub but as i said i wanna use roxio program

Plug in your Roxio capture card USB to the computer...do you see these 2 entries in your Device Manager

Back to basics:

 

Are you getting a picture on your TV?.

 

In your Roxio options do you have the TV Standard set at NTSC ?

well i think my t.v is pal as im in australia now for the settings as i cannot get into the capture or edit/share section i cannot see any options for this the program loads up to were i can see the icons capture and share/edit but when i hit capture i get a window popup saying roxio media has stopped working unexpectedly. Then if i hit share/edit i get another popup saying error: unable to loadskin??

Try a repair

 

 

Unplug the Roxio USB Device from the PC and reboot the PC.

 

When the PC is up and running place the installation disc in a drive and run repair when it's offered. When it's finished reboot the PC.

 

Then plug in the USB and see if there is any change.
