Not Enough Space On My Blank Dvd...

tcesar888

Question

Hello! And thank you in advance for reading my post...

Here is my story:

- I have a bunch of VOB files with extended video segments. I want to crop small segments (7-10min each) from these extended videos.

- I created a DVD Video project file, adding the various media files (VOBs) and used the EDIT feature to identify my clip and segment my small segments (then saved them...)

- After I did this, I setup the OPTIONS for my project, then proceeded to burn the DVD.

Problem...

After it accepted my blank DVD, it 'multiplexed' my project, then returned a dialog box indicating that I needed 35GB for my media to write... I only have (18) seven minute clips total. Certainly the original extended videos (all together) could add up to 35GB, but I have identified and cropped out tiny clips, and only want those on my DVD.

What am I doing wrong?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Mahalo,

Tom

I suggest choosing Save as Disc Image (in the File menu) rather than clicking the burn button. When that is done select the Image File setting in the Toast Copy window and add the .toast file that was saved. Now burn the DVD.
