Starz
Just installed Creator NXT Pro. Uninstalled Creator 2012 prior to new install. Opened a Videowave 2012 Production and all of the Text inserted on Time Line will not display. The Text is visible on the time line, but will not show in Preview. All information in Panel is correct. Any suggestions? I don't miss the frequent crashes in previous versions, but do miss my text.
malatekid
The same issue happens in internal track - Text included in internal track does not show up in Preview. This happens to an existing production created in Creator 2012. But new production done in NXT does not show the same issue.
Brendon
Starz, The Creator line has never been strong on compatibility between versions. I suspect you've just found out that Creator 2012 projects aren't compatible with Creator NXT Pro.
REDWAGON
Another good reason why I keep C2012 all by itself on one computer and Creator Nxt Pro all by itself on anothet computer !! What I build on one version stays on that version and Vice-versa. Frank...
Tucker
I'm seeing the same problem. The text from VideoWave productions created in C2012 Pro does not play in the Creator NXT Pro preview. I know Roxio never claimed there would be upward compatibility across versions. IMHO, this problem is a show stopper for any Roxio software upgrades.

Any suggestions? I don't miss the frequent crashes in previous versions, but do miss my text. In the absence of any known workaround at this time and if you have a lot of texts in your C2012 VW project that you don't want to recreate in NXT, I suggest that you uninstall the NXT and re-install your C2012. Then finish your video project in C2012 (e.g., creation of image file or DVD folder set ). Any new project then can be started in NXT. Big hassle but something to keep you (and myself) moving to finish the video project. I will do the same thing as I recommended above as I still have project that I started in October last year (wedding event) and was in piecemeal basis (various VW projects). LDubberly
Used Roxio since #3 and have never had an issue like this... When did Roxio become part of Corel... had to stop using Word Perfect because updates would crash Roxio... Visual C+* updates always corrupted Roxio and would require a repair... tried that but not luck... Roxio refunded my money for 2011 because it would roll-back and fail to install... they went to Digital River? and gave me a download which worked for 12+ months and then if began to crash too often... total reformat was the only thing that could recover the corrupted Video drivers... are they trying to push users into the Corel video products?
