Installation Errors

Program (Creator NXT Pro) won't install after several tries, because of error 0643. I can't get Roxio?Corel to even tell me what the error means. They told me to check my computer and video card. It is not Roxio/Corel problem. The purchase was a upgrade from a recently purchased Roxio Creator 2012 which didn't work well either. :wub:

That error is telling you that something running on your computer is blocking the install. There are a couple of possibilities.

 

Read this first; it is for an earlier version but it may help here also. It is probably the ,net framework issue.

 

They are also telling you that you need to update the video device from the manufacture. Do not trust Windows to look properly.

 

It would be a big help if we knew more about your computer. Please follow these driections to post a copy of the dxdiag.exe file in your reply.

I had the same problem so I logged the comuter time then noted the time and seconds it errored out. Looking at the log file I noticed a problem writting to the 3d sample folder under my picture directory. I tried to access this folder and it said not allowed. I had to take ownership of it under properties - security and then delete it. Then the install worked. Some how it became read only somewhere down the line of installing. It is important to note this error affected both 2012 and the NXT install attempts.
