Loses Quality When Converted

MG2Prime

In the program it records in mpg2 by default and you can convert to mp4, wmv or mpg2. I edit in wmm and when I convert to wmv it loses a lot of color and quality? Anyway to fix that?

Why are you using WMM and why do you think we can help with WMM problems? Why are you converting to wmv?

I guess there are some editing features in WMM that are not available in V2D??? But what are they, perhaps you are just overlooking them in V2D

If you lose anything in WMM it is because you have chose to lose it!

Most likely you are outputting to a low quality in WMM, maybe for reduced file size, and it comes with a price ;)

OR you might be choosing a low quality output from V2D without realizing the results...

Lots of possible conditions, but we need you to fill in the blanks to know for sure

Actually, I use the Roxio program to record it and I export it to wmv and it loses quality that's all.

No... that is just a tiny part of the question ;)

It is YOUR output choice that is the problem!

'Computer' is the only selection that allows for output as WMV... The default setting there is a low 320 X 240:

Whereas if you choose either MP4 or MEPG2 you have the option of 720 X 480:

To get that, you can either slide the Quality button over or expand the Options and use the drop down selections.

Either of those will give you more than any of the options than you have using WMV...

But if you keep using the WMV for your output choice, then you are causing the drop of quality and no one can help with that

Two others have asked you Why you are using WMV for output. Now I am curious too...
