Have The Frequent Hangs And Crashes Of C2012 Been Fixed?

I would buy the NXT Pro for no other reason than to experience the elimination or significant reduction of the frequent hangs and "not responding", etc. I have a fairly fast computer; "Windows experience index" scores from 5,9 (hard drive) to 7.5.

VW13 hangs approx once per session, with "not responding" nor simply crashes. Then I start all over, having lost my editing work. Have the early adopters of NXT noticed any changesn or differences between NXT and C2012 Pro in this regard?

I have seen the 'not responding' but overall, I have not had any persistent problems with any of the Creator Suites and I started with Version 3

 

So my testimony would be based on using 10 Versions... For what that is worth to you, no problems with NXT

What frequent "Frequent Hangs And Crashes Of C2012"? While I get an occasional "not responding" it is usually due to some other program with higher priority running. I have had very, very crashes with any of the Roxio versions. If you get interruptions that often then there is something else happening with your system and/or projects.

1) Never assume that a upgrade will fix existing problems with a program or computer.'

2) Speccy is nice but the dxdiag.exe text file (posted as an attachment), not copied and pasted give a lot more information. It would be useful to have. Read this.

3) I can not remember when I last had a computer crash or not responding error message with Creator 2012 (like the others who posted).

It has not been fixed entirely but it is better. As with previous versions, it is a good idea to save video project every time you make a cut or other significant edit procedure. That way when it dies you can open up the latest modified version. One thing I will say about NXT, the CPU load has decrease giving it significantly more responsiveness. This allows a more precise cut when doing video edits. I am happy with the upgrade.
