Des1
my Roxio Copy Disc hangs at 99% - it ejects the disc I am copying and then it just sits there. This has happened to me on the last two versions of Roxio on different desktops. The desktop computer I am using now is only six months old. When I install Roxio on my laptop(s), they work fine. Any ideas anyone?
sknis
Are you sure they haven't completed the copying? What are you trying to copy? Have you tried copying the disc to your hard drive and then burn it from there (saves discs just in case)? I know it should work as is but you will probably waste more time and discs than if you just chose to copy to your computer.
Des1
this is copying any cd or dvd, when it gets to copying 99%, the original ejects and the program just sits there... like i said in the original post, I have no problems with Roxio on any of my two laptops, just for some reason this happens only on my desktops and this is the third version of Roxio it has happened on. sknis
Please read my response in the second post and answer the questions ! How many different computers do you have the program installed on? Do you have the same anti-virus on all of them. Do you have the same burners on all of them and are you burning at the same speed. What kind of DVD media are you using -- the brand name.? Are you using Creator NXT on all those computers? It has been out for less than an month? If not, what do you have? Again, please answer the quesions !
Des1
How many different computers do you have the program installed on? three Do you have the same anti-virus on all of them. yes - Norton Do you have the same burners on all of them and are you burning at the same speed. no to burners - default speed What kind of DVD media are you using -- the brand name.? TDK Are you using Creator NXT on all those computers? It has been out for less than an month? If not, what do you have? NXT on Desktop - 2012 on the laptops . . . it never gets to the point where I take the original disc out - like I said before - it copies the original and when it gets up to 99%, the tray pops out and that's it - it just hangs at that point
sknis
So the problem only happens with the Creator NXT version? Forget the desktop vs the laptop. The main question that you seem to want to avoid is "did the disc actually finish" is it complete ? Are you just going on the window telling you that it is 99%. Des1
this problem has happened with the two prior versions too (for some reason only on desktops). What I am trying to tell you is that the copy never completes. If I need to make a copy of a disc, I have to do it on one of my laptops.
Jim_Hardin
WHAT is the source of the discs you are attempting to copy? What are they? Might be a good idea to run a repair of your NXT using these steps, exactly: First thing to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc. and insert your Roxio Disc (download version - run Install) Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows) When you reach the screen where Repair is offered, choose that! When the Repair competes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot. This way we will know you are set to go and can recommend something should that not work. (always answer the questions, we are not trying to ambush you )
