No Visual When Recording

Question

Hello, I have just bought the Roxio Game Capture having been informed that it does work with the Wii. I got a component cable too, and I can play the Wii normally, with the Roxio intercepting. I can hear the audio from the Wii on my PC but I can't see anything and when I click capture there is an error. Can anyone help e with this? If it helps I have a Dell XPS 15 laptop and my Wii is one of the older ones from about 2007/8.

So I did that.

I went and deleted the two ROXIO GAMECAP entries in Device Manager,

restarted the PC.

Then I put the disc in and did Repair.

Restarted PC.

Plugged in Device,

again the two entries are there.

Although it only said installing device driver software when I plugged it in though surely it should have already been done by the disc?

Opened program again (disc is inside pc as is the cable but I dont think the disc makes a difference at this point?)

Go to Capture and once again NO SIGNAL.

Here is a video of me deinstalling the drivers, what am I doing wrong?

Woe is me.

With the Roxio USB Device plugged in, right click the 1 entry, and click uninstall.

Unplug the USB Device from the PC and reboot the PC.

When the PC is up and running place the installation disc in a drive and run repair when it's offered. When it's finished reboot the PC.

When the PC is up and running open device manager and plugin the Roxio USB Device and the 2 Roxio Game Cap entries should be there.

I'm assuming you mean this?

It won't let me right click delete.

If you have Audio but no Video then I'd guess the Video driver didn't load correctly.

Look in Device Manager on your computer and see if you have 2 entries under Sound for RoxioGamecap.

1 is for the audio and 1 is for the video.

what would I do if the video is not there?
