Apple Blocks Downloaded 10.0.9 Upgrade From Executing.

Question

Hi,

My Toast version is 10.0.8. The upgrade to 10.0.9 is recommended when starting Toast. I downloaded and installed the upgrade.

But, the upgraded version cannot be executed. It returns the error, that it is not downloaded via the Appstore and

that's it.

The old version runs still.

I did not check the Appstore for the old Toast version.

Any hints.

My guess is that Roxio doesn't have the update signed properly with Apple. See this article. It shows how you can change the Gatekeeper setting so that any downloaded application can be launched. I'd change it until you have Toast running and then change it back.
