Audio Problem

I am having a problem adding an audio to a project on a music track. When I attempt to add a music file a box tells me that it cannot be added to this position ( or words to that effect) it is being added to a blank space NOT adjacent to another track. I have deleted all other music files on the track but I still cannot add a file something is stopping me from doing this any ideas. I have just ordered NXT pro physical not that it has anything to do with this query but I just thought I would say.

Are you sure that you are selecting both the right track and where you want the music added? Internal track or external track?

 

What is the format of the music file?

Thanx Steve. it is a mp3 but It was a damaged file. I ran a new copy and that was ok. I thought It a bit strange that it wouldn't go but I did not know whether some settings had gone amiss. I am waiting for my NXT to come now, have you tried it? if so how much different is it to 2011. I have gone foe a hard copy this time around

I'm still using Creator 2012 so I have no experience with Creator NXT.

No problem Steve. Interestingly though is that you get the same box (cannot be loaded in this position) that you get when a file comes into contact with adjoining file on the music track so it looks like it is one box multi problem. So you get the box then it is trial and error trying to find out why?
