Capturing On Screen Video

Hello -

I'm moving and packed my Roxio 2011 manual. Could you direct me to the feature that allow me to capture video that is playing in another Window from another website (IE: Hulu, Channel Chooser, etc.) In the past I expected to see it in the "screen" in the Roxio application but didn't Also, I could never find where it was saved.

??? have you ever been able to do that

 

"Capture" in Roxio requires something with valid input to Windows, camcorder, analog-to-digital device, capture card, etc.

 

AND there is the ability of Video Copy and Convert to capture Web Video from your Browser...

 

Any of this sound like what you have in mind???

I think I want to Video Copy and Convert. When I click on that I get a window with the option "Add Source:" and I choose "Web Video." Then another window opens which says, "Launch your browser to start viewing and downloading web video." So I launch my brower expecting to be able to choose browser content but I can't do so.

Am I expecting to do something which can't be done?

What "browser content" do you want to capture? From youTube or do you have something else in mind?

We have seen some pretty wild swings with VCC and Web Video

 

In the latest, Creator NXT, it is pretty solid but the previous versions were not too good about it

 

I belive there are some good alternatives but I do not of any personally that I would recomend. Perhaps some others could

There are a number of sites from which I would want to copy video content. Channelchooser.com has old movies and comedies. And many of the networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, etc. will alllow access to some of their current programming.
