Yep, you can do it. karri (one of the frequent posters) has a procedure for doing it. I'll look for the post but she may show up before I find it.

Are you referring to the pinned post at the top of this forum? I think you pinned it yourself :)

Nope that is not the one. I remember one with a dog on a sofa and then mirrored or cloned so there were two of them.?

How about this one. I think it is basically the same as in the pinned post.

Walt, those are both for images; the OP wants to do it with video so it has to be something along the lines or the mirror, overlay, and perhaps key frames. I can't find the post so we'll have to wait for karri.

Thanks guy! I guess i have to wait for Karri then. And yes, i would like to do the mirror effect on a video and not a picture. Well if you know how to do it on pictures that could be nice to know as well. Thanks!!!

In the meantime, simply add the video to Edit Video Advanced and apply the mirror effect -left/right. This gives what you want but there is a lot of extraneous noise. There are no adjustments that I can find.

This may be enough for you.

I remember this was a bit of a work around and didn't give the OP a satisfactory answer. There was a feature in version 7 that allowed this easily but was taken out in subsequent versions. In any event, here is the original thread (the dog video seems to have been deleted).

Like Steve mentioned though, the mirror effect isn't very effective for what you want.

LeeT, try applying the Grainy MIrror effect (Effects > Grainy Mirror from Left, Right, or Top). It's not actually grainy and gives a pretty cool effect similar to those you posted..

Wow, that works fantastically well. The main image must be close to the center of the image or video to get the best effect ! We need to pin this ! Here is an image of my Avatar with the mirror effect. looat the double nose and row of eyes. It works just as well with a video. I knew you would be able to help this poster!
