Chapter Markers Question

jimccjr

Question

I recently built a DVD project with over 30 short video files. Each file became a "button" on the main menu. My desire was to be able to jump to the beginning of the next video with the >>| button on my player's remote.

Selecting the "Automatic" chapter markers option didn't work.

What worked was to manually select chapter markers at 00:00 for every single video file.

Question:

Does anyone know how to do this without having to manually do this to EVERY SINGLE video file? Seems like a common and straightforward request.

Thanks!

Apparently the chapter-advance button on the remote doesn't select a new title but only accesses chapters within a title. I've never checked this with my player. Does your player have a way to advance to the next title without accessing the menu? Your only other option is to use another application to join all the videos into one title. With the automatic setting Toast should recognize the time-code break where each video is joined as a location for a chapter marker, although that isn't certain. Toast also has a way to manually set locations of chapters within a title.
