Twitch Delay

Ango

Question

So upon receiving my game capture HD today, i took it for a test run.

Specs:

-1100T x6 3.8GHz AMD Processor

-16 Gigs of Ripjaw RAM

-GTX 470 GPU

Whenever I'm actually in game (Planetside 2) the delay extends itself to about 1 minute on Twitch and the FPS at times drops to what looks to be about 10-15 FPS.

Any information on correcting settings, etc.. Would be helpful.

I have experienced this problem as well but, my client eventually crashes along with the stream. I tried using multiple resolutions and it seemed to help on lower settings. Check your bandwidth from speedtest.net and see if your upload meets the requirements for your streaming resolution. I was quite surprised at how much upload and overhead you actually need for an HD stream.

I have a 2.8MB/s and have trouble with 720p in this software for example.

If your bandwidth isn't the problem then it might be a software problem as I have come to learn that in some parts it is still bug ridden which is disappointing to say the least.

Well, i have 5.3MB/s and the program either wants to put in "7500" for 720p or "1161" for 480p for the video bitrate. If i could alter it to something of my own choosing instead of it defaulting to these numbers.. It might work a little better.

The more i sit here and play with the HD Capture vs other programs (xsplit), the more i want to RMA it. I thought Roxio might have been a great choice...

Ango I can confirm it is faulty software Roxio needs to step it up and come up with an update to fix this because I bought this card souly for this one purpose to stream and it awfully through their program so in order for me to get it to work I had to download another program "manycam" Then basically stream the video that was streaming from my xbox off my monitor so of course it loses quality and eats my resources its irritating that we cant even use the card properly because they don't know how to make a program for something they made.

To push for a update on this you guys need to contact their technical support on this problem as well. I have tried 3 different desktops and a laptop and they all had the same problems and this is with a 100mb/s connection and a 10mb/s upload

I'm surprised you even got 10-15 fps. Mine goes for a second, freezes for about 20 seconds...goes for a second again, freezes. It's unusable at any resolution. Check the other threads too. The Roxio HD PRO is not a streaming solution right now.

Well, I can't even click the capture button now. So my HD Pro is now unusable because it's not able to be used with other third party programs either.

Nothing unusal about that... FEW HD Capture cards will work with anything but thier own software

Do you have the SP1 applied for your Roxio HD?
