Installation Offline(?)

Question

Hello everyone. Just a quick question... And sorry for being dumb :wacko:

Can I install this program (Creator NXT Pro) without the internet? Its because I cannot get past our firewall...

Minimum System Requirements for Creator NXT as seen here http://www.roxio.com...quirements.html

say on the first line, Internet connection required for product installation.

Does this apply also to physical hard copy?

'Physical hard copy' usually means a printout.

However if you're asking if an internet connection is needed to install from a disc rather than a program download, yes it is.

I believe your install key needs to be activated by the Corel servers, so your IT guy will need to get you through that firewall.

Oh, that's too bad. I'm an IT guy working for a defense contractor and we have many machines in closed areas - off the Internet. I didn't see this requirement and will need to return our recently purchased items. Other vendors offer an offline activation process, though. I understand Corel's concern to protect their products, but we'll need to go to another vendor.
