Tried streaming on 360p, lagged. 480p lagged. 720p lagged. I installed SP1 restarted my computer still nothing. This is very disappointing.
Ango
It's software bugs. The hardware/software is very new and should be in beta still.
wicket2961
I also (when I can get the device to sort of work) am having problems. The first time I tried streaming there was a 3 second delay whilst running 720p. I tried again the following day and there was a delay of approximately 1 mintue and then the stream would constantly stutter etc. I have tried all of the settings from 720p to the lowest and tried messing with the bitrate (but I don't know how to work out optimal bitrate) and still he same thing... Stutter and a delay of atleast 1 mintue. I hope this gets fixed soo nas it is a real shame. PS So how do you work out bit rate etc?

PS So how do you work out bit rate etc? install the SP1 update because it adds a basic bitrate box to set bitrate under the live stream tab
wicket2961
I have the SP1 update but How do I work out what quality I should be using ie 720p 480p etc. Is my bandwith also the bitrate? if my badwith is 600 should I input 600 into the bitrate box? Thank you

Thank you that's where i can't really tell you an answer it differs for each person. i have 2 upload (which is awful) and i can put mine at 1000 bitrate but my friend who has 2.5 upload can't go any higher then 800 bitrate. so start off around 500 and work your way up, you will be able to tell by lag how high is to much. MrXaldinX
will a better ethernet cable make a difference? im not unfamiliar with technology, i understand the difference between a 100mb cable and a 10gb cable im just wondering if that will increase the bandwidth speed (i refuse to live stream below 480p or 720p but it has the lag spikes constantly). or could it be a problem with the router too? ik the software sucks and is the main issue but unless the update thatll hopefully fix everything comes before november 13th i need to work with wat i got (which is a dell xps 8500, a 100mb ethernet cable about to become 10gb, the game cap hd pro, and the fastest internet comcast can provide for a home user). As for comcast, they have been having issues with JTV/Twitch lately.
