​​Ok so I bought A Roxio Game Capture HD PRO to make and upload videos on youtube. I dont use anyone colorful plugs into it, all i use is the usb to my computer and 2 hdmi cabels that go to my ps3 and television. I installed the software and it works great, I can see the things im doing on my tv and everything's great.. But only this one thing that says next to input: HDMI and it says status: Signal Protected i sometimes it changes onto ready but only for a second.. and I CANT RECORD my gameplay! Will anyone please give me a link that will help me or tells me what to do in the display settings for it to work.. I will really aprecitate it. Thanks.

Connect the PS3 to you Capture card using a cable like this

The following is from the Roxio Quick start guide, pay attention to the last line

 

Game Capture HD PRO Quick Start Guide

Power off Xbox® 360 or PlayStation® 3. For Xbox® 360, connect a HDMI cable*

to the HDMI port of the console or a console specific Component AV cables*

to the A/V port of the console. For PlayStation3, connect a console specific

Component AV cable to the A/V port of the console. HDMI connection does

not work for PS3 due to HDCP (protected)

Are you sure that will work? Also would you be kind enough to give me a link how It should all be connected?

I also learned if you use a powered HDMI spilter, it can work that way.

Based on the info you have given, I haven't got a clue.

 

Give us some details please, maybe if you read some of the other posts on here you will get the idea.

I think its the signal protection and i got all the cord and the bars look like this

@Chubbs Have you setup the display options on your PS3 so it could output using the component cables?
