Toast Titanium 11.1 R1071 Cannot Be Installed Due To Improperly Sign

Purd

Question

Just started Toast 11.1 r1067, and a dialog pop up ask me to update to 11.1 r1071. I do so with Security and Privacy to allow installation of software from Anywhere enabled.

After download, an error dialog pop up. It read: Update error: The update is improperly signed. And all I can do is to Cancel Update. So I cannot update to 11.1 r1071.

Try to go to software update page at Roxio website but all I can see is 11.1 r1067 full version (357MB). Where on earth can I get only the update file?

And why the update is so buggy?

Regards

The solution to install Toast 11.1r1072 is to o to Application folder - Toast folder, press Option and click to open Toast, then check for plate, and the install of the update will run OK.

Can Roxio and Corel make it more complete and problem free before release, or make the instruction clearer on the steps, if you cannot make it complete.

I'm u user not developer, and not deserve to find all these solution myself

thanks Mr. Guru...... I should asked asked this way...... so long as Mountain Lion ACCEPTS the software CD, is it okay to install Toast 8 (rather than new 11)?

I was thinking you were updating the OS on a Mac that already had Toast 8 installed. The version on the disc is not one I would use because it is likely full of bugs. Unfortunately the updates for Toast 8 are no longer available for download. Since you won't be using an already-installed and updated Toast 8 I do not recommend you bother with it in Mountain Lion.

You all obviously know what you're doing. I have a simple question. I am very basic user - burn a CD or DVD now and then. Can I safely stick with Toast 8 on my new Mac-Mountain Lion?

It probably depends on what you want Toast to do. For many things I would expect Toast 8 to work okay. But I've never used it in Mountain Lion so I don't know. I suggest getting on Roxio's email list to receive their email discounts and upgrading to Toast 11 should you find that Toast 8 doesn't work for something you need it to do.

The Option key trick did not work for me. MacBook Pro, fully patched 10.8.2.

This is just poor development and support from Roxio and Corel. Please fix this annoying issue ASAP and update the full installer to R1071 (it's still R1067).

Roxio aka Corel release 11.1 r1072. Again, it fail to install because the update is not properly signed. This is a real rubbish and unacceptable. Corel Fred all Roxio team when hey acquire Roxio and turn Toast into SH*T

End up, I cannot update to 11.1 r1072. How many more release before he can get it right?

It's the same. Toast 11.1 r1072 cannot be installed on Mountain Lion 10.8,2 due to the error because the update is improperly signed. I cannot do anything but to press cancel update.

End up, Toast 11.1 r1072 won't install, and this is a real rubbish. Software should be tested before release

Fix immediately Roxio and Corel

That's great! Now, how do we obtain R1072?

When I opened Toast it appeared. I have the "Check for updates at startup" checked in Toast Preferences. It didn't show up for me when I chose Check for updates in Toast Help.

Forget to inform that I'm running Mountain Lion 10.8.2 with the latest supplemental update 1.0 installed on a Macbook Pro with retina display

Can anyone point me to just download the updater but not the full package of over 300MB
