Very Disappointed...

Roxio,

 

Your product itself, is amazing. This product produces very good quality in video and audio. The problem with this product is not the device but the software. The software sucks, it's a AWFUL program. It always says "not responding" I tried everything people said to fix it but nothing. Sometimes when I click capture, my computer goes black and the only way to make the black screen go away is by opening up task manager. Also the main reason I bought this product is because the live streaming you guys promoted so much. The live streaming is a fail. I can't even record on 360p without it lagging and having horrid quality, my download and upload speed is 35/30. Someone said this on the xsplit forums,

 

The Roxio Game Cap HD Pro software is a terrible experience for me as well. The only way I will keep this card is if Xsplit adds a fix for it.

 

That pretty much sums it up on how I feel. If xsplit cannot get the device working on there program I will return the product and demand a full refund.

Have you installed the SP1 update?

I agree with you Davidx625, the software is terrible, I will be returning my card to if tech support can't help me out with my capture problem.

I cannot agree with you guys more on this! If I can't have third party support with XSplit or Wirecast then I might return the capture card as well.

I really want the device and software to wrok brilliantly because I love the idea of what it can do and the simplicity of it...

Like many others, he's probably going to Task Manager before the program goes to "Not responding." I too love the video capturing. I can record in 720p (that's how high my TV can go to), but I can't LIVE stream. Everytime I do, it crashes and I have to restart my computer in order for it to connect to twitch.tv again.

 

I also wished this wasn't MST2 codec. It would be much better if it was h.264 so people can XSplit and FLME (I used FMLE mainly) for various stream options. Here's my review if anyone wants to read it. http://www.gamerevolution.com/blog/UghRochester/roxio-game-capture-hd-pro-review-92819

I understood it, mts & m2ts files ARE AVCHD???

 

This is what 3 of my camcorders capture in and all have AVCHD as their spec.

 

I have noted that there are a few who seem to crash alot, whereas others do not :huh:

 

I take this that there are basic problems with your PC's (crashers) and you are still in denial :lol:

 

This is not to say that there may not be occasional crashing but generally this pattern, some do some don't, indicates PS problems... I am still awaiting mine and when it does get here, it will go on a clean HDD for testing! ;)
