My Heart Broke This Evening...

Vaughn Whiskey


  • Went to my computer to stream some video games on twitch and opened up the roxio software.
  • went to the capture part of the program and waited for everything to load.
  • tv screen goes black, roxio software freezes up.
  • end process and restart computer.
  • no lights are turned on like before
  • my tv doesn't work when connect through roxio capture hd pro.

i think my device broke already....

This got me thinking, what is the warranty for these devices, anyone know?


edit: Never mind I think I found the answer, 90 days seems to be the answer.


if you can justify a device malfunction, i think it is longer.

i going to play around with it later tonight by uninstalling everything and switching out usb cables.

I know you've been through a bunch with this device Vaughn so I apologize for this but...


Have you switched USB ports?The device is USB powered and if it doesn't light up then I'd think device or USB port.Could be the USB cable also but you've already thought of that.

fixed it

i had to end up uninstalling my usb port drives (i have 14 usb ports and 4 3.0 usb) so that was a pain in the butt trying to sort out which ones was being effected lol

but reinstalled the usb drivers, uninstalled the roxio program and reinstalled then plugged in the device and BAM

working again.
