You made almost 2 identical posts but in neither do you explain really what steps you are doing. You just say it doesn't work. From where are you downloading these videos you can't insert? In what format are they? What size? Some details please!

I can't agree more, the video portion has been a problem for years with videos. Photoshow claims you can insert all the mentioned formats from a drop down list in the tutrials. Garbage. I tried avi, mov, wmv, mpeg and all the clips were well under the Mb limit. It works when it ones to and I have done it in the past. On the 9th I was waiting for a solution(again) that promised help within 6 hours, yea, right! I use Audio_video converter to make the clips smaller, and yes, I have tried that and original clips to no avail. I won;t get into the mp4 surprise . Byer beware unles you just want photos. I'm looking for a new program and this is the last time they get my 30 bucks, and all th epeople that I tild that it was such a great program. Still wondering if a lower version will work better?Provably not, and if it does, it will end up like the new version. Photoshow doesn't have the answewr unless you try knowlede base and good luck with that. Did I say garbage? I have been a member since they started and never had trouble until they tried to make it better. EVERYTHING worked until they didled with it. Oh, yes, there is no error except FAILED. Remember as of July this worked. Go figure. Ball in your courst and if they really cared?

Please spell check your rants. Rants do no good on this user forum. Contact Roxio directly.

You are just reiterating what others have said in other posts. You don't seem to want to do the work arounds.

I'm guessing that 1) You have not recently downloaded and re-installed the desktop version of V6, 2) That you are using DRM protected music. 3) That the AVI files are not Dv-AVI but are a compressedAVI file. 4) That you are using a registry cleaner. 5) That you have not recently paid for the service - it is not $30 per year.

I have contacted Roxio and they promised an answer. They did not. I'm wrong about 30 bucks, but have been a member since Photoshow started. I have done all the formats with success until this past week. My account is paid until 5/2013. Roxio support isn't reliable and seems to direct the answers to the knowledge base I have re-installed the version, twice. I'm not using music for the videos. Please check for spelling errors. Where "oh "where is Photoshow5, as it's not listed in my download page and account.

PhotoShow 5 is no longer available from Roxio/Corel.

I have no inside information but it seems that there are no longer any experts at Roxio/Corel who are willing to look into errors and to have the designers fix the program. You may want to contact them and cancel your subscription. There are other programs out there that will do someht9ing similar to PhotoShow. You can always upload your slide shows to YouTube with restricted viewing.

You should still be able to use the desktop version to create a PhotoShow and upload that to the PhotoShow web site. If you can't add your videos to the desk top, then there is somehtign wrong with your set up. Do you have the latest version of Quicktime on your computer? It is needed for several codecs. Have you rdownloaded and reinstalled V6?

I will try making a PhotoShow tomorrow to see if I can add videos and mp3 files to either/both the desktop version and the online version. I won't have time today. I did notice that the last ime I made a PhotoSHow that the program had several failures accepting images. The second time around they worked and uploaded.

I have succesfully made videos work with a Photoshow5. The downside is the videos don't have sound. I had an old copy on my PC and it worked, not like Photoshow6. But, I have received an email stating they are having technical issues with their support. So, I will wait for that response when that clears up. If you have an old copy stored somewhere - give it a try- less sound, but you'll get a " moving" video, less sound, sorry for that . Later, the show will end up in your account and can be played from there and shared.

I just made a PhotoShow with V5, I made it very simple with only one mpg1 video; no images. I did turn off the music (custom settings) so only the video had sound. It is uploaded to PhotoShow. It is here.

I did the same with V6 and uploaded that. It is here.

Both of these took very little time.

I made another PhotoShow using the on-line version and the video uploaded quickly but the processing took much longer than making and uploading the entire other PhotoSHows (above) It is still "processing" after -- oops it failed !

I tried uploading the same video as a wmv file and as a mp4 file.. It is also taking a long time.

I'll edit this post when and if I get a PhotoSHow done with that wmv file (or others). It also failed. The error message seems to indicate that the file was uploaded but when the program went to transcode it, the path to the file was not found. I'm not sure that anyone at Roxio PhotoShow would know how to fix it.

What happens when you make a PhotoShow using the desktop version of PhotoShow V5 or V6 and upload that? I can do that with no issues. Are you using the PhotoShow web site or are you uploading to a site like YouTube? If you are using a social network, there is no need to continue your subscription. If you are using the PhotoShow site, then make your shows on your desktop version and upload those. It will be faster anyway

First, if you can add avideo files to the Photoshow 6 program, then good luck. I have tried all formats that are accepted. I tried the smallest file possible and it takes 5 minutes to process, and then its failed. I have tried the desktop and online versions with no results. Support has no answers, even though they have tried, and I have tried all their help to no avail, and as ususual we both give up. But, here is the true dilemma! About a few weeks ago, it worked, then next time it doesn't. In the summer it worked, then a month later it didn't. Any suggestions will help and thanks in advance.

Please read the above message. # 9. For now and for the foreseeable future,, The smallest file possible doesn't mean anything. if you want to have videos in your PhotoShow, make the PhotoShow on the desktop version (premium membership). Once you have the PhotoShow done, upload that PhotoShow to your member page.

How large is the video file and what format? Right click on it and provide the details.

If you are already adding the videos to your desktop version, and it is not working, re-download Version 6 to your desktop from your membership page and reinstall it over what you have now.

All I can say is that it worked for me; are you having any issues with other programs? Since it has been so long since the program worked correctly, a Windows Restore would probably not be useful.

Sorry !
