Recording Audio Only

1ndie

Question

Hello,

I have some audio cassette tapes I'd like to digitise along with my VHS's. Can anybody please tell me if VHS to DVD is able to do this also?

I'm able to plug the cassette player in and get an audio signal into Roxio, but once recording is complete I don't seem to have any options to save it, due to the lack of video signal.

Any and all help apprieciated.

While the Mac version of the Easy VHS to DVD does not have audio-only capture, you can use QuickTime Player to do this by connecting the source to the audio input on the Mac. There also are some applications that can be used to mark individual tracks and apply noise filtering. Roxio includes Spin Doctor in Toast for this purpose. It has a variety of bugs but it can perform the capture, track marking and filtering.
