spitzie
I brought this product to transfer all my old videos to a media server and dvd. It's running on win7 64 with a quad 3ghz processor, 8gb ram, 3.5Tb of disk space free with 16 USB2.0 ports. So I figure I meet the min spec. The software is installed, and the video capture driver checked and are the roxio version not a default microsoft. Load to software to do a capture to hard drive, even thing fine. Play the video, and the "show video input" displays the picture without any noise, breaks, etc. Press record to capture the bit I want and the capture run for 0.5 sec (give or take 0.1) then stops. Change every single setting and used different vhs tapes and 2 different vhs players, always the same result. Any pointers?
sknis
Try one of those USB ports on the back of your computer. If you have 16 of them, they may not all be powered. The device needs a good powerful USB port. Even the one on the front of you computer may not be strong enough. Make sure you start at a point into the tape where there is some continuous video. Stops or blank sections in the tape can cause issues getting started. Blank sections of the tape will also cause the video capture to stop. spitzie
Sknis, I did try various USB ports both front a back but still the same result. Myguggi, it's self built 1 with 6 ports on the motherboard at the rear, 4 motherboard ports extended to the front, and a 6 port PCI card. I need a large number of port for various reasons, I will not go into here. Does the software have issues with either gpt or raid disks?
