Converting Web Videos

Question

Hi All

Hi All

I use My Toast 11 to convert Youtube videos. Because my ISP speed is so slow I need to download them with Iskysoft. Things were going good until recently, and now I can't convert anything. I have a Macbook Pro and now have Mac Keeper. What video files should I be able to convert with Toast 11.1?

Thank You

Dave A.

Toast 11 can convert any video that is QuickTime playable as well as some MPEG 2 variants that aren't played with QuickTime. Are you unable to download the videos or are you unable to convert them after they are downloaded? Does Toast refuse to accept them in the Convert window? What format are they?

I don't know if an update changed something or Mac Keeper changed something. I have never been able to convert FLV but had no problem with mpeg4 ,MP4. MY OS is 10.7.5

Iskysoft downloads with MP4 and FLV, don't see any way to change them. It's the free downloader. Iskysoft has a converter thats costs money, but it works (free with a big water mark on the video )

Thank You

Dave A

Toast should be able to recognize that video. However, I think there are times when downloaded videos are missing some information in their header that keeps Toast from recognizing them. Can you play the video with QuickTime Player? If so, try saving it using QuickTime Player and it will get the header that Toast needs.

pourquoi , depuis plusieurs mois, il n'est plus possible de capturer de la vidéo web ? plus rien nul part !

It is working for me. Try deleting Toast plist and prefs files from the user Library > Preferences folder. Reinstall Toast 11.1 from Roxio's software updates page.
