Backontrack Not Installed Properly!

Every time I open BoT, I received this error "BackOnTrack Service cannot run. May be BackOnTrack is not installed properly."

 

Already tried repairing, uninstall, re-install... Still no luck...

 

By the way, I have Easy CD & DVD Burning, Creator 2012 Pro and Creator NXT Pro installed which I believe to have all BackOnTrack applications in each and every one of them (pardon my grammar^^ English is not my native tongue...). The only BoT working is on Easy CD & DVD.

 

I was wondering if BoT is not compatible with one another.

I am having the exact same issue. I have tried different links on Roxio's web site and you can click on the links but all they do is sit their and does nothing. If anyone has a fix I would appreciate a post.

Hello Zelga,

 

If you have more than one version of BackOnTrack installed you are likely to run into big trouble. Each version has files with the same name and same path and same settings.

 

If you mix them up together you might find the last one installed is the only one which works properly, or you might find that none of them work properly.

I would suggest you should uninstall them all, clean the system up, and then install only the one version you want to use. If you don't do this you might be lucky, but who wants to risk their backups??

I know why, it wasn't too. It was a good month for me, because my birthday is in October, and in 2012, I was still here.
