How Do I Burn A Dvd

Will you point me in the right direction to burn a DVD that will play in a DVD player? I've created slideshows of photos and want to put them on a DVD that will play without a computer. I've tried MyDVD but after I burn the disk, it won't even read. I'm doing something wrong and don't know what. Can you point me toward some documentation or something?

I split off your question from the post you used to ak your question. That post was about mp4 files to a DVD. You are talking about slideshows. What application did you use to create the slide show? What format are the slide shows?

 

We need a little more information if 1) You want a good answer and 2) you want it without 20 or 30 posts and replies.

To be able to accurately provide the detailed information you requested, I started over building the DVD from the slideshows (3rd time). When I got to the end, the DVD worked. I don't know what I did different, but the bottom line is it worked. Thank you for your help. Sometimes it just helps to try to explain it to someone else.
