Text Is Missing In Chapters Created In Creator 2011

LDubberly

Question

I have read that this is typical... have been using Roxio since #3 and this has never been the case... what has been the case is Word Perfect Updates and Visual C+* have caused earlier version to crash to the point that I had to stop using WP... this must be a solution to this.

Then you haven't had every version since Roxio 3, because this has been the case with upgrading of most versions. I believe that there were a couple of upgrades, where the projects, created in a previous version of VideoWave, worked with the next version.

Of course, due to the lack of information in your post, I am guessing that you are talking about VideoWave or MyDVD.

What has been typical? Are you talking about trying to open C2011 project in NXT? What do WP and C++ have to do with it? I have never had a problem after updating C++?

You have supplied very little information to even make a guess on you problem.

BTW, what is Roxio #3?

Easy CD & DVD Creator 3...6...Roxio Creator 2009...2011... Originally it came loaded on a Dell Computer many years ago and Sonic was the DVD driver... I always do a clean install... too many comments have been written to say that Roxio is not without bugs... I have read both you guys for years, sometimes helpful and sometimes...

My problem... created multiple chapters in VideoWave using Roxio Creator 2011... purchased Creator NXT Pro from "Sonic" Aug. 31, 2012 but didn't want to load till I had completed a travelogue using VideoWave, etc. Completed the project, finalized the disk and watched on the "Big Screen" before mailing it out, found a text spelling error and because I had loaded the NXT Pro, opened the "VideoWave" in NXT Pro and found out that the text was visible on the storyline but not on the display area, thus could not edit... because I do all my text in a word processing file, opened the file copied and attempted to paste on "text 2" line... the red outlined text box was in upper right corner and would not accept the paste... closed the file and reopened... deleted the text from "text 1" line... followed by "insert text" and all appeared to be normal until the fade slow was completely out of sync with the "Properties of text 1 line"... I read the comments about inability to read down and have never found this to be the case, just always added features.

I am a retired computer draftsman with 20 years experience in AutoCadd and know the pitfalls of corrupt files... I speak with certainly that the Corel product WordPerfect updates would corrupt Roxio files and the simple solutions was reinstall Roxio... I have no Corel word processing programs on my computer, solely MS products, I am running Windows 7 Professional, on a Dell Studio XPS... this is not an equipment issue.

I hope this was adequate detail.

Go back and finish the project in C2011. Most likely the C2011 project is not compatible with NXT.

Do you have any proof that WordPerfect corrupts Roxio files? "I speak with certainly" means nothing. If what you claim were true then there would be lots of posts with that problem. As far as I know, you are the first to claim that.

Why are you creating chapters in Videowave? That is best done in myDVD when you setup your menu structure.

You should never have to finalize video DVDs as that is always done automatically by the program.

I have no idea what you are referring to in this statement "read the comments about inability to read down"

... and you still haven't explained "that this is typical". What is "this"?

I created a slideshow using Creator 2011 (700 photo's with text added to each photo). I upgraded to NXT and now I'm trying to put the finishing touch to my project, I find the text is missing. From reading the posts, are you saying NXT is not compatable with previous versions of the product? You have got to be kidding, right?

Nope, and if you have a problem with that, like most of us have had, complain to Roxio, directly.

And, see the reply to your thread, here:
